Caleb Ruiz is from Eureka, CA.  Ruiz attended St. Bernard’s Academy high school. His Mom is Melissa Ruiz. Ruiz graduated high school the year before Covid and said, “Playing college baseball has been pretty interesting because I feel like when Covid arrived it changed the whole college sport industry.”  Ruiz has played baseball at several community colleges including San Mateo and Umpqua. Ruiz is going into his junior year at University of Antelope Valley in Lancaster, CA where another former Crabs pitcher and Humboldt County native, Ronny “Junior” Davis attended.
