The Camp Program
Each camp begins with a welcome and hands on involvement by Crabs coaches and players. During the week, Crabs Coach Eric Giacone will direct his squad of instructors — an assistant coach and several players hand-picked from the Crabs roster for their baseball skills and their ability to work well with kids.
What is covered
Crabs instructors will teach your child baseball offensive skills including hitting, bunting, and base running as well as all the defensive positions. Campers will have the opportunity to practice, play and improve skills at the position of their choice.
What campers need to bring
Campers need to bring a sack lunch each day (MVP Campers only), appropriate dress for the weather, baseball glove and any other appropriate sports gear. Please mark all clothing and gear with camper’s name and phone number on the items in case of loss.
MVP Camps for ages 9-14
$120 • Weeklong (M-F) 9am – 1pm
MVP Camp is for boys & girls ages 9-14 who want to learn all defensive positions and have a chance to play, learn, and improve at the position of their choice. Hitting, bunting, and base running, is taught from the ground up. Teamwork, sportsmanship, and communication are stressed. Group instruction, game situations, team games and practice with pitching machines are some of the activities the camper will experience. Campers should bring a water bottle and a lunch to camp.
Rookie Camps for ages 6-8
$60 • Three Days (M-W) 9am – 12pm
Rookie camps are for boys & girls ages 6-8, just getting started in their baseball careers, not quite old enough for the weeklong camps but who still want to get out on the field with their heroes. Campers should bring a water bottle and snack to camp.
