HEALDSBURG — Humboldt Crabs fell behind early and couldn't come back in an 8-0 loss to Healdsburg Prune Packers on Wednesday at Recreation Park. The Crabs are now 9-5 on the season.
The Humboldt Crabs struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Healdsburg Prune Packers, giving up eight runs.
Shamus Lyons led the Healdsburg Prune Packers to victory on the pitcher's mound. He surrendered zero runs on four hits over three innings, walking one. Ryan Shreve threw five and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Zach Wallace took the loss for Humboldt Crabs. He surrendered five runs on seven hits over six innings, striking out three and walking one. Jonathan Stroman and Ryan Sullivan pitched in relief for the Crabs.
Healdsburg Prune Packers saw the ball well today, racking up 12 hits in the game. Dane Tofteland, Arias, MacNichols, and Jamey Smart all managed multiple hits for Healdsburg Prune Packers. Healdsburg Prune Packers was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. MacNichols had the most chances in the field with ten.

**The Crabs will hit the road today and head south to play Road Game #3 @ San Luis Obispo Blues at Sinsheimer Stadium. Crabs fans will have to tap into the Blues video feed on YouTube or iScore app in order to follow the team. Friday night's game will include a Fireworks show.
