Boardman appeared in 35 games with 24 starts, mostly at second base, in his freshman season … batted .247 with 24 hits, 14 RBI, 13 runs scored, four doubles and one homer … improved his batting average to .277 with 13 hits in Big West play … recorded three hits, scored twice and drove in a run at Santa Clara (2/15/25) … went 2-for-4 with two runs scored at UC Santa Barbara (3/9/25) … came off the bench to drive in five runs including smacking his first career homer at Arizona State (4/8/25) … posted a career-high four hits and drove in three to beat UC Riverside (5/4/25).
PRIOR TO CSUN
Boardman prepped at Bishop Gorman High School and graduated in 2024 … spent four years on the baseball team … earned First-Team All-State and Offensive MVP as a senior while he was a Second-Team All-State selection as a junior … won a state championship with Bishop Gorman in 2023 … played summer baseball in 2024 with the Ohio Warhawks.
PERSONAL
Parents are Chad Boardman and Valerie Grijalva … he has one brother: Jacob … his mom played collegiate basketball at the University of Colorado while his dad played collegiate baseball at Nevada … favorites include the San Francisco Giants, Brandon Crawford, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Friends, ASAP Rocky, Lucki and In-N-Out … chose CSUN because of the culture and player development … says his favorite sports moment was winning a state title in high school … lists his parents as his heroes.
