Far West League Playoffs

The 2012 Far West League Tournament will take on a different form from 2011. The top four teams in the FWL standings qualify for the tournament and be seeded 1-4. In the July 31-Aug. 1 opening round, the No. 1 seed will play No. 4 and No. 2 will play No. 3 in a best-of three, and the winners of those series will play each other in another best-of-three for the title on Aug. 3-4. All series will be played at the home field of the higher seed, with doubleheaders on the first day of the series and an "if-necessary" game three on the second day.
