Less than two weeks into the 2010 season, the new Crabs players are adjusting quite well to life in Arcata on and off the field.

Fresh off a weekend sweeep of big rivals Fontanetti's Athletics, the Crabs are now 7-1 on the summer and, according to manager Matt Nutter, much of that has to do with how quickly the new players have taken to the wood bats.

"I think one of the biggest things for us is the way the guys have picked up the wood bats," Nutter said after Sunday's 4-2 win sealed a four-game series sweep. "Usually it takes a couple of weeks, but this year the guys have picked it up real well."
