ARCATA — Humboldt Crabs defeated Valley Bears 19-0 on Sunday as four pitchers combined to throw a shutout on Sunday in front of a crowd of 692. Andrew Najeeb-Brush struck out Cody Fierro to finish off the game.

Wesley Ghan-Gibson led Humboldt Crabs to victory by driving in four runs. He went 2-for-5 at the plate. Ghan-Gibson drove in runs on a in the third, a groundout in the fourth, and a home run in the seventh.

Humboldt Crabs fired up the offense in the second inning. Ramon Enriquez drove in two when he homered.

Humboldt Crabs scored four runs in the third inning. Ghan-Gibson, Bronson Grubbs, Johnny Mendoza, and McCarthy Tatum all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

One bright spot for Valley Bears was a double by Conner Martin in the third inning.

Dylan Campbell was credited with the victory for Humboldt Crabs. He went six innings, allowing zero runs on three hits, striking out five and walking one. Najeeb-Brush, Ryan Sullivan, and Justin Berry all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory.

Russell McClung took the loss for Valley Bears. He allowed five hits and eight runs over three innings.

Humboldt Crabs socked two home runs on the day. Ghan-Gibson had a long ball in the seventh inning. Enriquez had a dinger in the second inning.

Humboldt Crabs racked up 11 hits on the day. Grubbs, Ghan-Gibson, Enriquez, Mendoza, and Tatum all managed multiple hits for Humboldt Crabs. Tatum, Mendoza, Enriquez, Ghan-Gibson, and Grubbs each collected two hits to lead Humboldt Crabs. Humboldt Crabs was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Tatum made the most plays with 11.
