San Jose State pitcher and returning Crab Zach Wallace fans ten, and goes eight innings in win

REDDING — Wednesday, June 13, 2018

Humboldt Crabs put up six runs in the second on its way to an 8-1 victory over Redding Colt 45's on Wednesday. The offensive onslaught came from doubles by Jackson Kritch and Bronson Grubbs, by Wesley Ghan-Gibson, and a groundout by McCarthy Tatum.

Humboldt Crabs got things started in the second inning.  Ghan-Gibson was hit by a pitch, driving in a run.

Zach Wallace pitched Humboldt Crabs to victory. He lasted eight innings, allowing six hits and one run while striking out ten.  Kenton Carruthers threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

JJ Reeves took the loss for Redding Colt 45's. He lasted six and a third innings, allowing five hits and two runs while striking out two.

Humboldt Crabs hit one home run on the day. Tatum had a homer in the seventh inning.

Humboldt Crabs saw the ball well today, racking up eight hits in the game.  Kokko Figueiredoand Kritch all managed multiple hits for Humboldt CrabsKritch and Figueiredo each collected two hits to lead Humboldt Crabs.

Redding Colt 45's totaled six hits.  Coby Zimmerman and Lane Pritchard each collected multiple hits for Redding Colt 45's.
